I appreciate you sharing your perspective. However, I closed my retail business specifically so I would no longer have to separate my art from my values. The mission of this studio is 'Art as Witness,' and that inherently means engaging with the world as it is, politics included. I knew this pivot would cost me followers, but the cost of staying silent was higher. I wish you the best in finding a community and a platform that aligns with what you need.
We are at a point now when we must speak out. We can no longer cover our ears and sing la-la-la. We are in a real struggle for our lives and our country.
Life is good, I’m in a place where I feel so free to create and build the way I want. I hope all is so good with you too! I have really been enjoying your newsletter and your courage!
